What You Learn in Boxing

Boxing is the art of hitting without getting hit. You'll learn the four core punches (jab, cross, hook, and uppercut), how to move your feet, and how to defend with your guard, slips, and footwork. Then you put it together into real combinations on mitts and heavy bags. It's a full-body workout, but the real goal is skill: coordination, timing, and the kind of discipline that only comes from drilling something until it's automatic.

How Our Classes Work

Boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai students train together in the same class. Everyone shares the warm-up, footwork, and bag work, then each person trains their own style with coaches on the floor. Boxers stick to their hands. They never kick, and in partner drills boxers are always paired with other boxers.

You get the energy of a full class, and your partner work always matches what you're there to learn.

Boxing vs. Kickboxing vs. Muay Thai

Style What You Learn Best For
Boxing Punches, footwork, head movement, defense The sharpest hands and defense
Kickboxing Punches and kicks A great workout with real technique
Muay Thai Punches, kicks, knees, elbows, clinch The most complete striking skill set

What Your First Boxing Class Looks Like

  1. Warm-up. Movement and footwork to get loose and focused.
  2. Stance and footwork. How to stand, stay balanced, and move in and out of range.
  3. Technique. One skill at a time: the jab, cross, hook, and uppercut, plus blocking and slipping.
  4. Mitts and bags. Put the combinations to work on mitts and heavy bags.
  5. Conditioning. Finish with work that builds a real boxer's engine.

It's mostly fundamentals. You'll sweat, you'll learn something real, and you won't spar.
